ANZUNS 2019 is a meeting not to be missed and we warmly welcome you to join us for three days of workshops, scientific program and of course, networking with colleagues and friends during the social program.

Urological nursing in Australia and New Zealand is diverse and dynamic; a kaleidoscope of sub-specialties, workplaces, levels of practice and technologies, not to mention the rural versus metropolitan landscape. It’s no wonder the ANZUNS annual meeting consistently provides such a rich opportunity for professional development, networking and inspiration.

As nursing professionals, we are all for the patient. How do we improve their experience and their outcome? How can we improve our service, make it more meaningful and less stressful for our patients; more time efficient and cost effective? ANZUNS Brisbane 2019 will build on our strong collaborative history, as we seek to celebrate and empower nurses of all professional stages, from novice to NP.

Collaboration doesn’t end in the nurses meeting. Once again, we will be sharing our meeting with our USANZ colleagues, a partnership that is over 22 years strong. Building on the importance of teamwork in our clinical settings, we once again look forward to combined plenary sessions and workshops and crossover during the scientific program. Also, in 2019, the Asia Pacific Society of Sexual Medicine holds their biannual meeting from 11-13 April conveniently providing even more scope for professional development.

We invite you to you to bring your passion and enthusiasm, your ideas and innovations as we join together. Please start thinking about submitting your work as an oral or poster presentation. We all benefit – no-one more-so than our patients – when we share our work, success, trials, projects and experiences. If you are new to this, don’t let that stand in your way. Talk to your colleagues, brainstorm, troubleshoot with your Urology team and if you need support or assistance to submit your abstract, please contact your state or country Urological Nurses Society for guidance.

Brisbane in April is quite simply divine. Come and join us; learn, network, play and be inspired!
